Even young and healthy animals can suddenly become ill or have an accident requiring veterinary treatment.
At The Barn we offer four weeks free insurance cover with Petplan whilst you are looking around for a policy that best suits your needs.
Petplan advises the following:
- Cover is available for puppies, kittens and rabbits from 6 weeks old up to 18 months, following any health check.
- Insurance is valid for 4 weeks from the date and time that you activate your cover.
- If cover is activated within 24 hours of your pet’s health check you will receive cover for up to £4000 of veterinary fees with instant cover for illness or injury. If cover is activated more than 24 hours after the health check cover is reduced to £2000, with instant cover for injury and cover for illness commencing after 14 days.
- If a claim for veterinary treatment fees is made, then as excess will apply. This is £100 for dogs, £85 for cats and £50 for rabbits.
- We do not take card or bank details, and there is no need to cancel as the cover automatically expires.
